Aloha All, We are continuing our Monthly Big Island Beekeepers Association meetings online and really appreciate all of you being a part of the conversation! Our next monthly meeting is via Zoom Tuesday September 8th. By popular demand we are going to be covering the Sampling Methods and Treatment Options for Varroa Mites. Please join us for the presentation and come with questions!
The Zoom link to the meeting and password to join are below. The meeting link will go live at 6pm. We suggest you try to access the link at 6pm when the BIBA Board signs on to help you test things out and to get familiar with the features. While it is intuitive, you need a little time to set things up. You can join via desktop or smartphone( via the Zoom app). You do not need to participate with video if you don't want to. Just audio is fine. If you do want to ask questions, make sure to find the mute/unmute audio button on your screen. It should be in the bottom left. And don't panic. If you hear people but your audio isn't working, you can listen along and still be able to type in your questions into the Zoom meeting chat box! We anticipate a decent size group so please be mindful of online etiquette.
We continue to have the "Waiting Room" enabled to better screen attendees. If you are able to type in your name when you sign in to Zoom, that would be helpful! Last month Zoom was experiencing glitches with the Waiting Room feature. They've since sent out an update to fix the issue. Thank you for sticking with us and figuring out the ever-evolving technology!
Agenda: 6-6:30pm: The meeting link will go live at 6pm. You'll have 30 min to get situated and comfortable with the features, etc. You can also go to Zoom's website for some helpful videos on how to use the program:https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us 6:30- pau: Short business meeting followed by a presentation on Varroa Mite Sampling and Treatment Options
