We have decided to continue with online Monthly Meetings for the time being and really appreciate all of you being a part of the conversation! The next Zoom Meeting is Tuesday June 9th. We are grateful to have guest speaker Dr. Chrissy Mogren, Assistant Researcher/Professor from the Pollinator Ecology Lab at UH Manoa - CTAHR giving a presentation on pollinators in Hawaii with a focus on bees, local bee forage and nutrition, biology and genetics, pests, and much more! Please come with any questions you have about bees as there will be time for a Q&A afterwards!
The meeting link will go live at 6pm. I suggest you try to access the link at 6pm when the BIBA Board signs on to help you test things out and to get familiar with the features. While it is intuitive, you need a little time to set things up. You can join via desktop or smart phone( via the Zoom app). You do not need to participate with video if you don't want to. Just audio is fine. If you do want to ask questions, make sure to find the mute/unmute audio button on your screen. It should be in the bottom left. And don't panic. If you hear people but your audio isn't working, you can listen along and still be able to type in your questions into the Zoom meeting chat box! We anticipate a decent size group so please be mindful of online etiquette.
This month we have enabled the "Waiting Room" to better screen attendees. If you are able to type in your name when you sign in to Zoom, that would be helpful! We know Zoom is constantly updating their software to reduce cyber attacks and glitches, but it isn't perfect. Thank you for sticking with us and figuring out the technology!
