Honey Festival and Challenge

The Big Island Beekeepers Association is proud to promote Hawaiian Natural Honey through the statewide Hawaiian Natural Honey Challenge HNHC. Begun in 2010, the HNHC features some of the finest honeys in the world. The Challenge has grown every year, and we look forward to continuing this tradition moving forward. Watch this space for news of the Challenge, including announcements, entry materials, results, and volunteer opportunities.


The 2015 Hawai'i Honey Festival (HHF) will be held at Nani Mau Gardens on Saturday September 26, 2015.

The 2015 American Honey Queen will be on Island visiting. She will make public presentations at schools, in public media, and other venues as they present themselves

2015 Hawai'ian Natural Honey Challenge (HNHC) details:  

The deadline for entries to the 2015 HNHC will be Friday August 14, 2015. 
HNHC Instructions, entry & payment forms will be available here mid May 2015. (Please note 2014 rules may be changed.)
Formal Judging will be September 1, 2015. Winners announced at the HHF and the Peoples Choice Award will be determined by the public tasters at the HHF and announced at day's end.

    Im a newbie but a MG intern. We had talked about giving away packets of bee friendly seeds at this festival. I havent heard from anyone about this. Patty was going to ck with seed co for free or reduced seed prices. I can ck also if I am allowed
