First Annual Honey Cooking Contest with Sonia Martinez
The first ever BIBA sponsored Honey Cooking Contest will be held on Saturday, September 26th at the Nani Mau Gardens of Hilo in conjunction with the 2015 Hawaiian Honey Festival.
The contest is open to anyone who wants to participate. Rules and Entry Forms will be posted soon at the BIBA website and also the Hawai’i Honey Festival Facebook page - see links below.
Categories will be:
Dressings, Sauces & Preserves
0 - 5 points each for a possible 20 point per entry
Best use of honey
(*) Presentation means how the dish is plated. You will be allowed a certain amount of space and your setting cannot exceed the space allowed. Please, keep it simple; do not bring elaborate set-ups. The judges are only interested in the food and how the food is presented on the plate. No extra points will be given for any accoutrements.
There is no entry fee to enter the cooking contest but Nani Mau Gardens charges $5 per person (adults) and $3 per child entrance fee to the gardens and event.
