Aloha, BIBA members -
There will be a special BIBA meeting this Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 6 pm (potluck), general meeting at 6:30 pm, at the Kamana Sr. Center, 127 Kamana St. in Hilo.
The purpose of the meeting will be threefold:
- To give members an early - and easy - opportunity to submit their entries for the upcoming Honey Challenge;
- To present information on the upcoming Hawai'i Honey Festival (to be held at Nani Mau Gardens on November 23);
- To sign up volunteers to be involved with the Festival, and with the upcoming visit of the Honey Queen;
- To describe the upcoming BIBA dinner at Nani Mau Gardens on Sat. Nov 2 to welcome the Honey Queen and hear her presentation.
Attached to this email are the Participant Letter; Instructions; Entry Form; and Payment Form. Please review. IF YOU WOULD LIKE, you may print the Entry Form and Payment Form and bring with you. (Make sure you don't get your samples and forms mixed up! We suggest rubber-banding the Entry Form to your jars.)
NOTE: The actual numbered labels will only be available at this meeting, OR by mail upon request, OR by other special arrangement. If you are NOT at the meeting on Tuesday, you must contact me by phone or email to let me know how you would like to receive your numbered sample labels along with the rest of the entry packet.
Due to the demands of the grant and putting on a much expanded Hawai'i Honey Festival this year, we are running very late in getting these materials out to you. WE APOLOGIZE, and appreciate your tolerance!
If you can RSVP and let me know if you will be at the meeting, and if you will bring honey entries, that would be very helpful.
